Hi, Patrick. Great comment. Fashion shows would be deadly boring without music. Peter Som always has great music at his show. It was the first place I heard MGMT. I just downloaded Monsters of Folk, Beirut, and two Smiths' cover songs--"Please Please Please.." by She & Him and "This Charming Man" by Death Cab. All from iTunes. I'm very opposed to illegal downloading, even though I feel like the only person who still pays for music!

Great list and LOVE the Beauty 101 post yesterday! I'm definitely looking forward to more from you guys!

Got an addictive link for you guys- http://www.instyle.com/instyle/makeover/

You upload a picture, and then you get to do a makeover on yourself with celeb hairstyles and real make-up products (including a ton from Lancome). You can even choose the brand of make-up you want to play with, and there are even links to buy the make-up directly. COOL web application. Also a great way to hypothetically try a hairstyle.

Also, I second Patrick on wanting some good music recommendations. (I downloaded Phoenix based on Kerry's rec a few months ago- good stuff) My personal addiction at the moment is Slowtrain. Their entire album Illegal Cargo is good, but my favorite track is In the Black of Night.

HOLD THE TRACK! You left something out! What about things to listen to? Too few articles have been written, blogs blogged, and credit given to the artists that help give fashion it's meaning. Some of you may be thinking I'm a DJ or musician trying to gain a little recognition but hold off on that judgement and bear with me for a moment.
I was in fact the chunky kid in high school. So when I expressed some interest in an extra-curricular activity I was automaticlaly relegated to playing a trombone. I played with some style and flare but hit not a single correct note.
Stop for a minute and ask yourself what would be the experience of a fashion show without the music. For the fashion industry people out there, those who have to live their lives in a world a full year in the future, what can you remember from Fashion Week a few years back? Now what if you could hear me whistling Bjorn's Young Folks?
For those who haven't attended fashion week myself included, what feels better than knowing you look great and blaring your favorite power song? L'amour est un oiseau re belle, Whatever Lola Wants, or Let Me Think About It. It transcends race, genres, and age.
Fashion may posses the power but It maximizes the effect.
I'm certain the author of this blog, the beautiful Kerry Diamond, has some things in her playlist right now that i want to hear!
