Wow! So many comments for the cleanser post. Personally, I want to know more about Anna’s aspirin mask, which she uses as a cleanser. Anyone familiar with aspirin masks?
We haven’t done a beauty blog/magazine review in a little while, so here are a few things to check out:
–Kari at Fabulous Over Forty interviews the handsome and talented Lancome makeup artist Alex Sanchez.
–Lucky Beauty Director Jean Godrey-June swears by Lancome Flash Bronzer for Legs! “I use it all over my body, including my face,” she says. (Page 36, June issue.)

–Speaking of Flash Bronzer for Legs, Jewels at Plush Junkie loves it too. Check out her tanning addiction tale. It’s an older post, but an enlightening one.

–O Magazine has one of the best brow makeover stories ever. Really. Their eyebrow pencil pick? My fave, Lancome Le Crayon Poudre. (Page 180 and 192, June issue.) Special thanks to makeup artist Brett Freedman for the shoutout.
–New York Magazine editors met with Lancome makeup artist Sandy Linter at our NYC boutique for a makeup lesson. See the slideshow here and learn what a “fat eyelid” is. Who knew?

I was actually looking at the Flash Bronzer for Legs on the Lancome site today and noticed that it is in the Beauty Bye Bye section (not discontinued yet, but in the bye bye section here: http://www.lancome-usa.com/beautybyebye/sun-and-body.aspx ). PLEASE don't let this product go! It is the *ONLY* idiot-proof self-tanner out there, and the only one I have consistently had good results with. I also use it everywhere, and adore the product.
How odd. Just the other day my friend was telling me of a yougart and aspirin mask he tried. He didn't have much success with it. Said his face was red for days. I had never heard of such a thing before but I've been using liquid aspirin for occasional breakout for years.
Many women feel uncomfortable without their make up and wish they had the natural beauty and self confidence to look good as soon as they wake up, or at the gym or beach. It would be great to save time each morning.
Hi, Liz Anne. All I can say right now is–don't worry! By the way, I'm going to be looking for self-tanner experts in the weeks ahead. We'll looking to compile the best self-tanning tips from the people who use self-tanner regularly. Thanks for reading the blog!
And Patrick, eew. Red for days? No thanks!
Thanks for reminding me that aspirin is a solid form of salicylic acid, making it an easy at-home remedy for skin that's acting up. Kinda like mine. I'm gonna try it right now!
Hey Kerry, I just posted a mascara post with Lancome's Defincils as the start of the post. Can you feature it or add it to this list of blogs? thanks! http://gettingprettybypk.blogspot.com
HiKerry! I think you were wondering about the mask I use. I am 25 but my skin still breaks out whenever it wants. i tried many products but nothing really worked. I read about aspirin mask on some blog- there are many combinations. I first tried honey and aspirin (buy uncoated generic aspirin for a $1 or so)- dilute 2 or even 1 tablet in a bit of water till they melt. mix with honey and put on your face and neck or even chest area for a few minutes. i must say that this mask may break you out a bit again- during first couple of weeks. But after that my skin hardly ever gets a pimple! and now i just mix aspirin with any cleanser i use, and the results are fabulous! i hope that helps to anyone with skin problems and low budget. this masks also diminishes acne scars too!
for the 1st comment about skin reaction- it is a good idea to do a patch test on your body if you have sensitive skin. my skin does get pinkish after a mask but the effect is gone in a few minutes. you can use crushed aspririn as a scrub or mixed with a body wash on your body too, it will just take a whole lot of aspirin- you can dissolve a whole bottle of aspirin and just keep it in a powdery state, handy in your bathroom!
I'm having a hard time finding the Flash Bronzer for Legs, too. I went to Neiman Marcus and Macy's yesterday – neither have it in stock and they said it's discontinued.
luisa, try Sephora. I found the discontinued Flash Bronzer for face there. Don't know what I'm going to do when it runs out! Amy
