En route to see a very important editor for lunch, Le Boss turns to me and says, “Why don’t we get more press on Huile Douceur? It’s an amazing product.”
“Um…”
It’s not that we don’t get any press. InStyle wrote about the cleansing oil in the March issue on the “Editors’ Picks” page. “Removes even the most resilient waterproof makeup in seconds,” said Jolene Hart, beauty assistant. (Thanks, Jolene!) I guess the P.R. department tends to focus on the newer, flashier products rather than our workhorses. I’d noticed Huile in our Paris boutique over the past few years during visits overseas and wondered why we didn’t have it in the U.S. It seemed like a cool product (white lotus and cedar bud extract!). I guess everyone agreed because now it’s available here.
I did a quick hall survey to find out who uses H.D. regularly. I walked past the education team (they have the best knowledge in the office as they train everyone on our products) and asked, “Does anyone use Huile Douceur?” Joan, Leslie and Ginger all shot their hands in the air. Wow. You don’t get a better endorsement than that.
They gave me the following tips on how to use:
–Pump two drops into your palm
–Massage onto your dry face
–Emulsify with water, massaging with your fingers until the oil becomes creamy
–Splash with water to remove
If you’ve done it correctly and you dry your face with a white towel, you shouldn’t leave a trace of makeup on the towel.
You can even use it to remove eye makeup. Just massage onto your eyelids and lashes then use a damp cotton pad. For a demo of how to use, watch Joan here on HSN. (And check out her fab hair and gorg Kenneth Jay Lane ring while you’re at it.)
We’re giving away three bottles of Huile Douceur cleansing oil so you can try for yourself. Tell us what cleanser you currently use and we’ll pick three names at random. Please post by end of day Saturday.
