Swat: I don't like to drag this post. But your words made me clear few misconceptions you have on men on this kind of situation. I am sharing an experience my close friend went through…!!!!

My friend let’s call him B again. He expressed interest through matrimonial site. To which she accepted. Later both parents met and gave green single(horoscope also matched). He use to talk most of the time and I use to often tease him “What the hell do you talk so much man..??” to which he use to respond as ”You will know when your time comes(he was right here)”. They spoke for almost 4-5 months and he planned a trip to India and informed her as well as her parents. Slowly her response changed. Sometimes she ignored his calls. While speaking to him she didn’t show much interest most of the time. But he didn’t jump to conclusion and was very patient. A day came wherein he had to make things clear and asked her the reason for which she is acting weird ..?? Here response was shocking. She said…”I am not able to trust you. How can I be sure you don’t have affair since you have lived so long abroad..?? I am educated and I heard it’s tough to find job at your place. I don’t want to be an house wife…blah blah.” All were baseless reason. In b/w my friend had made clear about the life style and constraint she might face for employment before parents met to discuss. Long story short. Through a third source boy’s family found out that her family is perusing another proposal(let’s call him C) seriously. My friend stopped talking to her and went ahead to visit India. To his shock while he was in India girls parents made all attempt to make him see their daughter(its seems C rejected her ). But my friend ignored their invitation. She later sent many emails apologizing for her words..nothing could make my friend change his mind. He responded to all her emails in a single line as “ Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me…!!!!”

Swat, do you still think "men havent changed since ages..". Having been close to friends of your gender, you are getting one sided experience. Bottom line, it takes two to tango…!!!!

what u'r talking about is a long distance relationship and such a thing is pretty common there but these things happen in a normal relationship as well and its just too disgusting.

btw, im new to ur blog and i just brushed over the topics u wrote about and i must say, i cant wait to read all of them

to start with, why is that your friend calls this relationship as "love" ?

You know..in general as it is relationships require a lotta effort and when the situation brings forth one that is long distance, its even worse.

Its pretty obvious B is a jerk and its best for your friend if she d just realize this and move on. Physical appearance i feel should only be an initial attractant, emotions should be the binding factor.

Anyways as i always say..

"if its love, u work to make it work"…yep its an original..i hope ur friend and B realize that.
