Wavefront, the community-based commercialization centre for B.C.’s 1,000 wireless and new media development companies, and Perfecto Mobile jointly launched a service that will enable developers to remotely test their applications on Wavefront’s library of mobile handsets connected to Canadian wireless networks.
Wavefront’s testing lab is equipped with the specialized Perfecto Mobile system, enabling web access to Wavefront’s handsets.
Through its partnership with Wavefront, Perfecto Mobile adds Canada’s carrier networks Bell, Telus and Rogers to a growing list of networks which includes already the major American, British and Israeli cellular operators.
Furthermore, by adding Wavefront’s handset library to Perfecto Mobile’s service, developers can now access various Canadian handsets models, such as Apple iPhone, HTC Android, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Palm, Samsung, and Sony Ericsson.
Wireless application developers are able to access the remote testing service from Wavefront’s website, and a complimentary 10-hour trial service is available for new users.
