Horizontal as in it enables across all industries. Fashion uses design, but it also uses manufacturing and styling .... architecture uses design, but it also uses engineering and building. The Eames anniversary is the perfect occasion for an international forum of people who really care about and know something about what great design education is all about. Like 7 of them. I think this sounds like an issue worthy of a team using the Design Thinking Process to get their arms around.
